LHH Recruitment Solutions is hiring an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to review customer orders to determine requirements, lead audits, respond to customer complaints, and drive continuous process improvements. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in manufacturing and strong analytical skills. This direct hire role is in Itasca, IL and the anticipated salary is between $80,000-$95,000 per year.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure customer requirements are included in process plans by reviewing purchase orders, including FAIR, PPAP, and source inspections
- Participate in quality planning meetings to ensure requirements are established and implemented
- Create necessary documentation as required, including PPAPs and Quality Assurance Test Plans
- Support inspectors to ensure compliance with purchase orders and specifications
- Review FAIRs
- Respond to customer complaints for non-conforming parts or issues and lead corrective actions
- Lead customer and compliance audits, including SCA audits
- Develop and implement continual process improvements to the quality management system
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent experience required; Bachelor of Science preferred
- Minimum 5 years of quality assurance experience in manufacturing
- Experience in sheet metal fabrication, chemfilm, welding and/or brazing preferred
- Strong analytical and communication skills
