    Job Summary

    The Quality Assurance Inspector is responsible for inspecting materials, components, and finished products to ensure they meet quality, safety, and manufacturing specifications. This role performs visual, dimensional, and functional inspections, verifies compliance with technical drawings and standards, documents inspection results, and supports continuous quality improvement within manufacturing operations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of products and assemblies.
    • Verify product specifications using technical drawings and quality standards.
    • Observe and document air and hydrostatic testing procedures.
    • Review inspection and test results for compliance.
    • Prepare, maintain, and file quality inspection records and documentation.
    • Generate nonconforming material reports (NMRs) and issue hold tags when necessary.
    • Assist in investigating and resolving manufacturing quality issues.
    • Use precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment.
    • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
    • Participate in quality, safety, and departmental meetings.
    • Support continuous improvement initiatives and perform additional quality-related duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent (technical training or certification preferred).
    • 2+ years of manufacturing experience involving welding, fabrication, or assembly.
    • Ability to read and interpret ASME drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
    • Experience using precision measuring tools and inspection equipment.
    • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
    • Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
    • Knowledge of ASME fabrication inspections and manufacturing quality standards is preferred.
