Lingo Staffing is hiring a QA Inspector in Trumbull, CT.

Pay: $19/hour Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Position Summary

The Quality Assurance Inspector ensures crate manufacturing processes and procedures meet customer standards and requirements. This role involves visually inspecting and manually testing products before, during, and after production, as well as recording, monitoring, and analyzing data for Operations, Senior Management, and Quality teams.

Responsibilities

Crate Inspection (50%): Accept or reject completed work products by verifying they meet customer specifications through measurements and visual inspection. Use specialized tools to assess moisture content, workmanship, and product reliability. Track and update quality data using proprietary software and assist in delivering reports to relevant departments.

Improvement Recommendations (40%): Review customer design specifications, standards, and test plans and report feedback to the Design department. Review and implement corrective actions stemming from customer complaints, returns, and non-conformances. Participate in ISO audits to ensure compliance with local and company-wide standards.

Communication to Production (10%): Provide verbal and written feedback to the Production department regarding errors or non-conformances in the assembly process.

What You'll Need

High school diploma or GED preferred. One year of quality inspection experience desired, along with six months of wood products manufacturing experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel and the ability to learn proprietary software. Ability to read a tape measure in fractional gradients and interpret blueprints and design documents. Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus. Steel toe boots and other required PPE are mandatory.
