Position: Quality Assurance Manager
Salary Range: $95K-$125K+ 12% Bonus
Summary Of Job:
We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead quality management and continuous improvement initiatives within a chemical manufacturing environment. This role will be responsible for maintaining and improving the site’s Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and applicable regulatory and customer requirements, and overseeing quality assurance, quality control, and laboratory operations. The Quality Assurance Manager will monitor key quality metrics, lead audits and root cause investigations, address nonconforming materials and customer complaints, and partner closely with Operations to improve process capability and product consistency. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership experience, a technical background in chemical or manufacturing processes, and a proven ability to drive quality improvements in a manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, and continuously improve the site Quality Management System in compliance with ISO 9001 and applicable requirements.
Lead internal, customer, and third-party quality audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
Oversee quality assurance, quality control, and laboratory operations.
Monitor quality KPIs and develop corrective and preventive actions to address performance issues.
Investigate nonconforming materials, customer complaints, and process deviations.
Lead root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, quality, and customer requirements.
Partner with Operations and other cross-functional teams to improve process capability, product consistency, and overall quality performance.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing quality issues, improving processes, and increasing customer satisfaction.
Provide leadership, direction, and support to quality personnel and quality-related projects.

Qualifications
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
7+ years of experience in chemical manufacturing, quality management, process operations, or a related manufacturing environment.
3+ years of leadership experience managing teams, quality functions, or cross-functional projects.
Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems and quality auditing.
Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC), root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action methodologies.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with Operations, Engineering, Laboratory, and other cross-functional teams.
Master’s degree in a related technical discipline.
Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification.
Experience leading quality improvement initiatives within regulated or highly controlled manufacturing environments.
Experience in chemical, adhesives, coatings, or related process manufacturing.
