The Quality Assurance (QA) Technician is responsible for performing in-process and final inspections of cables, harnesses, printed wiring assemblies (PWAs), electro-mechanical assemblies, and integrated hardware systems. This role ensures all products meet engineering drawings, specifications, workmanship standards, and customer requirements. Working closely with the QA Lead and production teams, the QA Technician plays a key role in maintaining product quality, reliability, and documentation accuracy.

Key Responsibilities
Inspection & Quality Control
• Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of electro-mechanical assemblies in accordance with IPC-A-610 standards
• Inspect cable and wire harness assemblies per IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards
• Verify incoming materials/components meet specifications before releasing to production
• Conduct in-process inspections and final acceptance checks prior to shipment or integration
Documentation & Compliance
• Accurately document inspection results, including defects and non-conformances
• Maintain traceability and configuration control records in line with company procedures
• Assist with nonconformance reports (NCRs) and re-inspections
• Support updates and reviews of work instructions and inspection documentation
Collaboration & Communication
• Communicate quality issues, trends, and defects to QA and production leadership
• Work cross-functionally with engineering, production, and logistics teams to resolve issues
Provide feedback to improve quality processes and assembly methods

Required Skills & Experience
• 2+ years of experience in quality assurance, inspection, or electro-mechanical assembly support
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Experience using measurement tools (calipers, gauges, indicators, etc.)
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• IPC-A-610 and/or IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification or experience
• Experience in ISO 9001:2015 environments
Background in cable harnessing, electro-mechanical assemblies, or system integration
