Role Overview:

As a Quality Assurance RN, you will play a critical role in monitoring, analyzing, and improving clinical quality indicators in accordance with state and federal guidelines. You’ll collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to identify trends, implement corrective actions, and elevate the overall standard of care for our residents.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor and review Quality Measures and Five-Star Rating data
  2. Conduct regular audits of clinical documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance
  3. Collaborate with MDS Coordinators and interdisciplinary teams to improve documentation and resident outcomes
  4. Educate staff on best practices for improving quality metrics and regulatory compliance
  5. Analyze trends and report findings to the Director of Nursing and facility leadership
  6. Assist with developing and implementing performance improvement plans (PIPs)
  7. Participate in Quality Assurance & Performance Improvement (QAPI) meetings and initiatives


Qualifications:

  1. Active RN license in the state of employment (Compact license accepted where applicable)
  2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in skilled nursing or long-term care
  3. Experience with MDS 3.0, CMS Quality Measures, and Five-Star Rating system
  4. Strong clinical knowledge and attention to detail
  5. Proficient in electronic health records (PointClickCare preferred)
  6. Excellent communication and training skills
  7. Ability to collaborate across departments and lead quality improvement initiatives
