Summary:
The Quality Assurance Specialist (QAS) works closely with the Laser printing, Mailing, and Bindery teams at Direct Marketing Solutions (DMS) to ensure client specifications are met. The QAS uses a basic understanding of standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure that all materials are shipped for production in accordance with established processes.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Verifies that materials produced by a machine match the machine's job ticket.
- Ensures address blocks and barcodes meet postal regulations.
- Reviews the font size, quality of print, and populated text of Laser department output.
- Reviews the fold measurements and tray tags of Bindery department output.
- Reviews the sealing, postage, and package contents of Mailing department output.
- Notifies the operator and applicable supervisor immediately when any discrepancy is discovered.
- Learns all SOPs for the Quality, Mailing, Laser, and Bindery departments.
Requirements:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- One to two years' relevant experience
- Proficiency with common office equipment and Microsoft Office applications
Schedule Options:
- 2nd Shift Monday through Friday 2:30pm-10:30pm
- Overtime required as necessary
