Who We Are Looking For
Reporting to the Central QA Manager, the Central Quality Assurance Specialist plays a critical role in maintaining the systems, certifications, and documentation that support food safety and regulatory compliance.

This position operates at the intersection of commercialization, quality, and plant operations—ensuring that product requirements, certification standards, and regulatory expectations are accurately translated into execution on the production floor. You will oversee certification programs, support HACCP and audit readiness, and maintain the quality systems that ensure every product meets customer and regulatory expectations.

What You’ll Gain

Direct impact on food safety and compliance
Quality and food safety are foundational to our operation. You will help maintain systems that ensure compliance with strict regulatory and certification standards, including organic, kosher, and specialty claims. With a high percentage of production requiring kosher compliance, your work will directly protect product integrity and customer trust.

Cross-functional exposure
This role provides visibility across commercialization, product development, and manufacturing. You’ll partner closely with cross-functional teams to ensure specifications, certifications, and regulatory requirements are effectively executed on the plant floor.

Ownership and growth
You will take ownership of certification programs, documentation systems, and key quality processes in a highly regulated environment—building a strong foundation for advancement into quality, regulatory, or food safety leadership roles.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Ensure certification and regulatory compliance
Maintain certification programs (Kosher, Organic, Non-GMO Project Verified, RSPO, Gluten-Free). Manage certification databases, verify supplier and product documentation, and ensure product claims align with regulatory and certification requirements.
  • Support food safety and quality programs
Participate in and support the HACCP program, ensuring documentation remains current. Coordinate quality programs such as in-process and finished product quality to ensure alignment with customer specifications and food safety standards.
  • Manage quality documentation and systems
Oversee document control, including annual reviews, new document creation, and maintenance of controlled records. Complete QA-related customer documentation and ensure regulatory records remain accurate and audit-ready.
  • Support audits and corrective actions
Assist with internal, customer, and certification audits. Prepare documentation, support audit readiness, and track corrective actions to ensure timely closure and compliance.
  • Maintain supplier and certification compliance
Manage supplier approval documentation and verify certifications to ensure compliance with food safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure data integrity within QA systems
Maintain QA data within ERP systems, including product setup and updates. Ensure production and specification data is accurate, complete, and aligned with customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Bridge commercialization and operations
Translate product requirements and certification standards into actionable processes on the production floor. Collaborate across teams to ensure consistent execution and compliance.

What You Bring

  • Education & credentials
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Safety, or related field (or equivalent experience). HACCP certification required; PCQI certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
  • Technical knowledge
Experience with HACCP, BRC, or GFSI-based standards, along with regulatory compliance and certification programs. Experience with specialty claims (e.g., organic, kosher) strongly preferred.
  • Ownership mindset
Self-directed with the ability to manage documentation, compliance programs, and quality systems independently while identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaboration & communication
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally across commercialization, quality, and operations teams.
  • Attention to detail
Highly organized with a strong focus on accuracy in documentation, certifications, and quality data—recognizing their importance in maintaining food safety and product integrity.
