Quality Assurance Specialist
 
Position Summary
The Quality Assurance & Compliance Specialist is responsible for conducting quality assurance reviews, documenting compliance findings, coordinating support resources, and partnering with franchisees to address operational and compliance gaps. This role works closely with cross-functional teams to evaluate adherence to company standards, provide actionable recommendations, and support continuous improvement initiatives. The Specialist serves as a key resource in maintaining quality assurance processes, ensuring accurate documentation, and helping franchisees achieve and sustain compliance. Some travel may be required.
 
 
Responsibilities
Quality Assurance Reviews
  • Execute initial Quality Assurance Reviews (QARs) in accordance with established standards, procedures, and timelines.
  • Evaluate operational, brand, and compliance performance against company requirements.
  • Document findings, observations, and recommendations accurately and thoroughly.
  • Escalate reevaluation QARs and significant compliance concerns to management for further review and action.
Compliance Monitoring & Documentation
  • Maintain accurate QAR documentation, records, and supporting materials within designated systems and databases.
  • Ensure all review findings, communications, and corrective action requirements are properly recorded and tracked.
  • Monitor compliance progress and maintain organized records of franchisee responses and resolutions.
Franchisee Support & Corrective Action
  • Provide franchisees with clear, actionable feedback regarding quality assurance findings and compliance expectations.
  • Partner with franchisees to develop and implement corrective action plans that address identified deficiencies.
  • Monitor progress toward corrective actions and follow up to ensure timely resolution of compliance gaps.
  • Serve as a resource for franchisees seeking clarification on operational standards, quality requirements, and compliance expectations.
Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Coordinate with cross-functional departments to support franchisees in resolving operational and compliance issues.
  • Facilitate communication between departments to ensure appropriate resources are engaged and corrective actions are completed.
  • Assist in scheduling, organizing, and supporting quality assurance activities and follow-up reviews.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
  • Prepare reports and summaries related to quality assurance findings, compliance trends, and corrective action progress.
  • Identify recurring compliance issues and recommend opportunities for process improvement.
  • Support ongoing initiatives designed to enhance operational consistency, quality standards, and franchisee performance.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive business information and compliance records.
  • Stay informed of company policies, operational standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
 
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations, Education, Quality Management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 2–4 years of experience in quality assurance, compliance, operations, franchise support, customer service, or a related role.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to document findings accurately.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and database management systems.
Preferred
  • Experience working in a franchise, multi-unit, retail, education, or service-based environment.
  • Experience conducting audits, evaluations, inspections, or compliance reviews.
  • Familiarity with corrective action planning and performance improvement processes.
