Description of Work
This position works as a member of the Standards Management Department to implement continuous quality and performance improvement principles, including evaluation of the center''s Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement (QAPI) Program. Ideal candidates will utilize various quality management tools to facility quality of care and best practice. This position monitors procedures for maintaining compliance with all standards by which the center is governed including Nursing Facility Long-Term regulations, North Carolina Administrative Code, Life Safety Code, and local and state sanitation standards. Maintains continual accreditation survey readiness by conducting mock surveys and audits, developing corrective action plans for any findings. Conduct regular monitoring, development and training of the policy management system. Collaborates with department managers providing education and guidance regarding effective development of documents. Participates in and /or co-facilitates workgroup meetings for policy development and accreditation compliance, including the QAPI Committee. May service on the Performance Improvement (PIP) Teams as a subject matter expert.

Longleaf Neuro-Medical Treatment Center (LNMTC), located in Wilson, NC, is a state-operated certified Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF). With a staff of about 520, LNMTC provides support to approximately 200 residents with complex medical needs and/or co-existing neuro-cognitive disorders.

Master''s degree in psychology, social work, education, health, business administration or related human service field from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of experience in professional level treatment programming for the applicable client population; or Bachelor''s degree in one of the fields listed above from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of experience as indicated above; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
