Summary:
Responsible for leading and overseeing all quality assurance activities related to sanitation, janitorial services, food safety support, GMP compliance, and customer quality programs within a food manufacturing facility. This role serves as the primary liaison between GDI Operations and the customer's Food Safety and Quality teams to ensure sanitation services support regulatory compliance, audit readiness, and food safety objectives.
Essential Duties:
- Lead post-clean and pre-operational inspection programs.
- Oversee sanitation verification and validation activities.
- Conduct GMP, sanitation, housekeeping, and facility audits.
- Support customer Food Safety Plans, HACCP, Preventive Controls, Environmental Monitoring, and GMP programs.
- Lead corrective action investigations and root cause analysis.
- Support FDA, USDA, CFIA, customer, and third-party audits.
- Train sanitation teams on GMPs, food safety, allergen controls, and documentation requirements.
- Review inspection records, training records, corrective actions, and sanitation documentation.
- Develop KPI reports and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- 3–5+ years of food manufacturing quality assurance experience.
- 1–3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience.
- Experience in:
- GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
- HACCP programs
- Food safety systems
- Internal and external audits
- Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)
- Regulatory compliance
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
