What you’ll be responsible for each day:

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Supervisor in Weyauwega, WI.

The Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for leading the quality assurance programs at the site, ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory standards. The QA Supervisor manages the day-to-day activities of the quality team, oversees product quality, and drives continuous quality improvement initiatives. This role collaborates with production and cross-functional teams to maintain high standards in product food safety, quality, and legality, while managing operational risks and escalating issues when necessary.

• Lead the execution of the site’s quality programs, including GMPs, GLPs, HACCP, and food safety systems.
• Ensure that all products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements, providing leadership in risk management and non-conformance resolution.
• Manage and train QA staff, ensuring the team is equipped to handle daily tasks and quality checks.
• Conduct routine audits and verification of quality systems, processes, and procedures, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
• Collaborate with production and other departments to address and resolve quality-related issues, providing guidance on corrective actions.
• Oversee product sampling, testing, and release processes, ensuring accurate and timely analysis.  Ensure electronic system updates are verified for raw materials and finished products.
• Lead investigations of product deviations, non-conformities, and customer complaints, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality performance and take actions to improve outcomes where needed.
• Ensure site readiness for external audits and serve as the main point of contact for audit responses and corrective actions.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings to provide insights on quality and food safety.
• Ensure all documentation related to quality control and assurance is accurate and up to date including Certificate of Analysis (COA) documentation as applicable.
• Assist in the development and refinement of SOPs and other quality-related documentation.
• Oversee training programs for production employees on quality standards and regulatory compliance.
• Take part in continuous quality improvement initiatives, supporting plant-wide quality enhancement programs.

The individual who will own this role:

• Associate’s Degree from a two-year college or technical school in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field preferred. 
• Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in quality assurance in the food industry, with a leadership role required.
• Strong knowledge of GMPs, GLPs, HACCP, and food safety regulations required.
• HACCP certification preferred.
• PCQI or SQF Practitioner certification preferred.
