Description
Position Summary:The Quality Assurance Technician coordinates with production employees daily to ensure quality systems and standards are followed throughout the facility. This position will also be responsible for final product verification to include bench top testing, label verification, and product formula verification.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Ensures compliance to all regulatory standards including HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point), GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and SSOPs (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures), etc.Periodic inspection of all aspects of the operation and report deficienciesAssist in customer complaint resolution and preventative actionCommunicate with production personnel and QA Management regarding out of specification food safety and quality monitoring results.Collaborate with production personnel to solve problems.Responsible for knowledge and adherence to Safe Quality Food (SQF) for Food Manufacturing standards as trained upon annually.Responsible for assuring the products meet customer quality and food safety requirements.Responsible for monitoring product parameters to stay within clients specifications.Expected to work required hours needed to execute production quantities.Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills
2+ years previous experience as a QA Tech in a food manufacturing setting, preferredHS Diploma or GED required.Working knowledge of quality operations in a manufacturing settingAbility to solve problemsExcellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-taskExcellent written and oral communication skillsAbility to interact in a positive way with all personnel within the organization and customersKnowledge of Microsoft Word and ExcelAble to think outside of the box and use innovative methods to solve problem
