Quality Assurance Technician

Looking for a bilingual QA Tech to support food safety and quality programs within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment in the Castroville area! This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with food safety standards for raw materials, finished products, and production processes.

Job Description: 
  • Perform documentation reviews, HACCP verification, and SSOP monitoring (pre-operational and operational).
  • Maintain environmental monitoring programs, including routine weekly and monthly testing.
  • Assist with internal audits, product traceability exercises, mock recalls, and third-party/customer audits.
  • Evaluate retained product and support disposition decisions under management guidance.
  • Identify and communicate deficiencies and improvement. opportunities to Quality Assurance and Operations teams.
  • Provide technical support to operations regarding process deviations and product specifications.
  • Promote and adhere to food safety and quality standards at all times.

Requirements: 
  • Prior Quality Assurance experience in a food manufacturing or frozen food environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Ability to understand and follow standard operating procedures
  • Willingness to work in cold environments (approximately 30°F)
  • At least 6 months of experience in a manufacturing or food processing environment
  • Working knowledge of GMPs
 
Pay: $17-19/hr
Schedule: Monday - Friday (Varies)
Hours: 1st & 2nd shift
