Quality Assurance TechnicianJob Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this pivotal role, you will help ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance by implementing quality control processes and conducting detailed inspections. Essential Functions
  • Perform inspections on company products to determine conformance to specifications
  • Utilize standard mechanical and electrical instruments, functional gauges, micrometers, and calipers
  • Operate and use CMM equipment
  • Read and interpret customer prints, drawings, and specifications
  • Process associated documentation, including process tags, rework tags, and nonconforming material documents
  • Work under direct supervision and follow established instructions and techniques
  • Set gauges for operators
  • Assist in the preparation of quality sheets and CMM programs
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Basic knowledge of QS and ISO standards preferred
  • Knowledge of and skill in using standard mechanical and electrical instruments and functional gauges
  • Understanding of GD&T
  • Knowledge of industry standards such as SAE, ASME, ANSI, AMS, ASTM, FED-STD, and MIL preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs required
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Basic knowledge of QS and ISO standards recommended
  • CMM knowledge preferred
  • One to three years of blueprint reading experience preferred
Physical Requirements
  • Must occasionally lift up to 40 pounds
