Job Description
Our client, a global food manufacturer in Lancaster, PA, is seeking 2 Quality Food Safety Techs for a 2.5+month contract position.
We are looking for organized, self-starting Quality Food Safety Techs to support food safety and quality activities within the food manufacturing plant.
This is an on-site position with openings on 2nd and 3rd shift.
2nd shift: 3:00 PM-11:00 PM
3rd shift: 11:00 PM-7:00 AM.

Position overview:
Role will be assisting with plant swabbing, paperwork filing, reporting, data entry, documentation updates, and general food safety/quality administrative duties.
General Responsibilities:
- Maintaining a safe and clean work area.
- Calibrating and maintaining online quality equipment.
- Reviewing production paperwork for completion and accuracy.
- Initiating corrective actions for quality deficiencies.
- Setting up and documenting daily product evaluations.
- Assisting with hold evaluations.
- Collecting and maintaining sample retains.
- Managing quality documentation.
- Reviewing raw material paperwork.
- Preparing sample shipments.
- Supporting innovation projects within the plant.
- Performing weekly and monthly audits.
- Participating in various training events.
- Taking routine and investigatory environmental samples.
- Ensuring adherence to standard work processes and compliance with regulations, including food safety policies and allergen control.
- Assisting in troubleshooting quality problems and implementing product improvements.
- Acting as a back-up for the Quality Supervisor.
Skills Required:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Professionalism and urgency in meeting internal and external business needs.
Experience Required:
- 2 years of related work experience in a laboratory or food processing/manufacturing environment.
Education Required:
- High School diploma or GED.
