Your Role

Akkodis is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician for a Contract job with a client in Germantown, MD. The ideal candidate must have experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment, preferably within the medical device industry, along with strong knowledge of quality systems, inspections, and compliance requirements.

Rate Range: $32/hour to $35/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Quality Assurance Technician job responsibilities include:

  • Perform quality control inspections of medical devices in accordance with approved procedures, specifications, and SOPs.

  • Conduct incoming, in-process, and final product inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards and engineering requirements.

  • Complete inspection reports, nonconformance documentation, and quality records accurately and timely.

  • Review Device History Records (DHRs) for completeness, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.

  • Collaborate with Purchasing, Operations, and Quality teams to manage nonconforming materials and ensure proper material disposition.

  • Support document control processes, technical documentation maintenance, and Device Master Record (DMR) management.

  • Support calibration programs, equipment records, and associated documentation.

  • Assist with Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs), CAPAs, and quality improvement initiatives.

Desired Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a quality role within a medical device company or other regulated manufacturing environment.

  • Experience working with Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001, ISO 13485, or similar regulated standards).

  • Proficiency using inspection equipment including: Calipers, Micrometers, Plug Gages, Thread Gages

  • Experience using and programming Keyence Vision Systems.

  • Proficiency with: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, eQMS Systems, ERP Systems.

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and schematics.

  • Knowledge of: CAPA Processes, Audits, Good Documentation Practices (GDP), Line Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Medical device industry experience.

  • Professional quality certifications such as:

  • CQE (Certified Quality Engineer)

  • CRE (Certified Reliability Engineer)

  • Six Sigma Certification

  • Other Quality Certifications

  • Experience supporting FDA-regulated manufacturing environments.

Pay Details: $32.00 to $35.00 per hour
