Description
Pay: $22-24/hr
Hours: Mon-Fri 7am-3:30pm
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to support food safety and quality programs in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for conducting inspections, audits, testing, and documentation to ensure products meet food safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform pre-operational and food safety inspections
Conduct environmental and allergen swabbing
Verify lot numbers, labels, date codes, weights, and production records
Monitor critical control points including metal detection, temperatures, and pH levels
Perform in-process and finished product quality checks
Document findings and maintain accurate quality records
Conduct GMP and food safety audits throughout the facility
Communicate quality concerns to production and management teams
Enter data into quality systems and databases
Qualifications:
Food manufacturing, restaurant, or quality assurance experience preferred
Associate degree in a science-related field accepted in lieu of experience
Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Basic computer skills required
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for 10-12 hour shifts
Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
Comfortable working in hot, cold, and manufacturing environments
Ability to work overtime, weekends, and flexible shifts as needed
Experience with HACCP, SQF, food safety programs, or quality systems is a plus.
