Pay: $22-24/hr
Hours: Mon-Fri 7am-3:30pm
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to support food safety and quality programs in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for conducting inspections, audits, testing, and documentation to ensure products meet food safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform pre-operational and food safety inspections
- Conduct environmental and allergen swabbing
- Verify lot numbers, labels, date codes, weights, and production records
- Monitor critical control points including metal detection, temperatures, and pH levels
- Perform in-process and finished product quality checks
- Document findings and maintain accurate quality records
- Conduct GMP and food safety audits throughout the facility
- Communicate quality concerns to production and management teams
- Enter data into quality systems and databases
Qualifications:
- Food manufacturing, restaurant, or quality assurance experience preferred
- Associate degree in a science-related field accepted in lieu of experience
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills required
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for 10-12 hour shifts
- Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Comfortable working in hot, cold, and manufacturing environments
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and flexible shifts as needed
Experience with HACCP, SQF, food safety programs, or quality systems is a plus.
