Quality Assurance Technician

We have a challenging and exciting opportunity for Quality Assurance Technicians to work in our newest facility in Mesquite, TX.
Summary:
Perform visual and mechanical checks/inspections on manufactured products ensuring goods and products comply with company standards and customer quality expectation. Perform in-process and out of box inspections on finished goods from production floor. When issues are found, perform a retraining session of staff.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform components inspection before assembly.
- Perform in process inspections.
- Perform first piece inspections.
- Perform out of box inspections.
- Perform operational testing and visual inspections on parts/assemblies.
- Record all inspection data including a description of findings in a spreadsheet via a tablet.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Able to communicate and work well with others.
- Able to train production staff.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- General knowledge of quality assurance/quality control functions.
- Knowledge of MS Excel.
- Some heavy lifting could be required.
- Some knowledge of hand tools used for dimensional inspections is preferred (caliper, tape measure, thickness gauges).
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma/GED.
- 1+ years Quality Assurance Experience or Warehouse Experience.
- Bilingual Spanish required.
Work Hours:
Depending on the area assigned, can be 8-hour shift Monday - Friday, or 10-hour shift Monday - Thursday, with occasional need for overtime as required to complete activities.
