Penmac Staffing is hiring a Quality Assurance Technician for a food manufacturing facility in Motley, MN. You’ll be the eyes on food safety and quality on 2nd shift, through testing, line inspections, documentation and catching problems early. What you’ll do- Monitor HACCP compliance and food safety programs on the production floor
- Sample products, inspect lines, run lab tests and calibrate equipment
- Document results and report quality deviations to management
- Review micro testing and sanitation inspection results, spot trends and help with root-cause investigations and corrective actions (CAPA)
- Coordinate product holds and dispositions as directed by quality management
- Keep lab supplies, equipment and testing records in order
- Use SAP, PLM, QDMS and Minitab to support quality processes
What you need- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology or a related field preferred
- Experience in food manufacturing, lab testing or QA preferred
- Knowledge of HACCP, food safety programs and microbiological contaminants
- Strong Word and Excel skills; knowledge of statistics, databases or quality systems is a plus
- Clear communication and strong organization and problem-solving skills
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a cool, wet production environment
