We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Testing Analyst to support end-to-end manual testing for a Cryptoception Manager application during a transition between systems. This role will focus on validating source-to-target data flows, ensuring financial records reconcile accurately, and confirming that existing business processes continue functioning correctly. The ideal candidate has experience in banking operations, preferably with TRIPS exception processing or bank deposit operations, along with hands-on QA testing, data validation, and basic SQL skills.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Partner with subject matter experts (SMEs) and business stakeholders to gather testing requirements and coordinate test scenarios.
• Develop, execute, and document manual test cases to validate application functionality and data accuracy.
• Identify gaps in existing test coverage and create additional test cases as needed.
• Perform end-to-end testing to verify that data transfers correctly between legacy and new systems.
• Validate source-to-target data mapping, financial entries, and data integrity across systems.
• Verify general ledger (GL) entries reconcile with deposits and that financial totals balance between systems.
• Use basic SQL queries and system lookups to validate records stored in SQL databases.
• Compare JSON and text files to identify discrepancies in data.
• Create workflow diagrams and document business processes and testing results.
• Investigate discrepancies, identify potential issues, and help ensure system transitions do not negatively affect business operations.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience with manual QA testing and test case development.
• Ability to gather requirements from business users and translate them into test scenarios.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in data validation, comparison, and reconciliation.
• Basic SQL querying skills; advanced queries and complex joins are not required.
• Ability to work with different technical systems and navigate data in various formats, including JSON and text files.
• Strong attention to detail, curiosity, initiative, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to independently investigate discrepancies and identify missing test scenarios.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills when working with technical teams, SMEs, and business stakeholders.
• Direct TRIPS experience, particularly with bank exception processing OR Bank deposit operations or enterprise banking experience.
• Experience with financial transactions, general ledger entries, deposit reconciliation, and data flows between systems.
• Intermediate hands-on experience with SQL and GL reconciliation.
• Familiarity with qTest for storing and managing test cases.

Technical Environment and Testing Approach

• Manual testing only: Automated testing and software development are not required.
• SQL: Basic queries are sufficient; the team can assist with developing queries as needed.
• qTest: Helpful but not required. Training can be provided.
• Data validation: Candidates should be comfortable comparing records across systems and reviewing JSON or text files.
• API testing: Not required.
