USFC - Quality Auditor Weekend Shift
Project Description
This position performs and confirms production and quality control audits. Assures compliance to corporate and external customer specifications and standards. The Quality Assurance Auditor inspects and tests products and evaluates dimensional and visual parameters in accordance with the quality management systems. This position's functions are vast, focusing largely on the service needs of customers. Provides friendly, courteous and professional service by assisting customers on a wide variety of Quality functions. This position reports directly into the Quality Assurance Lead.

Key Primary responsibilities are:

Delights customers and peers with service that is cheerful, professional, and thorough which anticipates the customer's needs responding in a fast, responsible manner.
Able to complete designated forms in Word and Excel and performs computer operations in the designated WMS systems utilized by the operations.
Work closely with engineers, and other stakeholders to identify, resolve and prevent quality issues, quality inspections of incoming material and parts.
Understands and applies policies and procedures associated within the organization and local department.
Perform complex inspection of manufactured parts and assemblies in accordance with customer specifications, MIL Standards and proper documentation. Perform periodic, in-process, inspections of completed parts and assemblies.
Maintain accurate, legible and comprehensive inspection records and test reports using computer aided collection devices and manually generated documentation.
Create, input, edit, maintain and retrieve computer data utilized in trend analysis through statistical inspection techniques and identifies possible sources of variations.
Assist Production and Engineering personnel in solving production problems and maintaining control of process variations.
Perform internal inspections in accordance with established quality control procedures and based on accurate measurable data. Perform visual inspections for components and assemblies for identification of defects such as peeling, missing components.
When company services fail to satisfy customers, recovers in a manner that offers the best chance of assuring long-term customer loyalty.
Has an operational understanding of the Receiving, Shipping, and Quality-related functions.
Participates in a program of continual learning and skill development.
Actively works in pursuit of *** s best interests in support of the Suppliers concerns.
Works in pursuit of the Organizational strategic plan through demonstration of the vision, mission, and values.
Effectively communicates and participates as a part of the *** team.
Supports the *** team's ISO 9000 and 3K compliance efforts and actively participates in the company's continuous quality improvement and lean concepts initiatives.
Works overtime as required and performs additional duties as deemed necessary by the Operations Manager.


Background Required:
Excellent communication skills (written and oral), listening skills, ability to ask questions.
Ability to learn, make decisions and be creative/flexible.
Accuracy, efficient and proactive in completion of duties.
Positive attitude, friendly personality, positive workplace behavior, self motivated.
Proven track record in operations management (6 years experience)
Intermediate knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (SAP, Oracle, etc...)
Metrics measurements (i.E. Delivery, costs, quality audits, exceeding all internal KPI metrics)
Continuous Improvement Quality process (i.E. Lean Mfg, Six Sigma, ISO, internal 3K initiatives)
Proven competencies in (i.E. Word, Excel, Access, MS Office)
Education:
Equivalent experience in Distribution Operations.
Analytical skills to evaluate, report, select and implement cost-effective, distribution operations.
