Job DescriptionThe Quality & Compliance Intern will help us compile, organize, and standardize our organizational policies into one centralized management system. This student will collaborate across programs (shelter, clinical, housing) to create and refine guidelines, develop document governance practices, and monitor changes in Medicaid regulations relevant to our services–helping ensure our organization meets applicable standards.The Intern will help to establish the compliance team, ensuring that the organization adheres to internal policies, federal and state laws and regulations, and contractual requirements for government-sponsored housing programs. This role provides exposure to compliance operations, health plan operations, and regulatory requirements while contributing to projects that strengthen the company's compliance framework.This is an ideal role for a student interested in compliance, public health administration, social services, healthcare operations, or nonprofit management.6-15 hours / week with flexibilityThis is an unpaid internshipEssential DutiesConduct regulatory research related to government-sponsored healthcare and housing programs. Track and summarize relevant Medicaid regulatory updates (e.g., eligibility, covered services, documentation, billing, managed care requirements) and support impact assessments for our programs.Maintain dashboards or trackers for policy review dates, compliance tasks, and corrective action plans.Assist in small quality improvement projects (e.g., documentation completeness checks, incident trend summaries, fidelity to workflows).Inventory, consolidate, and standardize policies, procedures, and forms across departments into a single, searchable management system (MS Teams). Maintain accurate records and organize compliance documentation.Support preparation for CARF audit and site reviews (collect artifacts, organize evidence, update corrective actions).Assist with preparation of compliance reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.Education/ExperienceCurrently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Public Health, Business Administration, Finance, Political Science, Public Policy, Healthcare Administration, Non-Profit Management, Data Analytics, or a related field (preferred).Junior or senior (preferred).Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher (preferred).#J-18808-Ljbffr
