Quality Control Associate

What You'll Do

• Inspect in-process and finished products to ensure they meet customer and regulatory standards
• Perform precision measurements (down to 1/64th of an inch) using rulers and testing tools
• Conduct visual inspections for color accuracy, consistency, and defects
• Test seal strength and durability of packaging materials
• Complete detailed quality checks (multiple measurements per product)
• Identify defects and communicate issues quickly to production teams
• Accurately complete documentation, labeling, and paperwork
• Package finished products while maintaining proper identification and traceability
• Follow cleanroom protocols and PPE requirements at all times
• Collaborate with lab and production teams to support smooth, high-quality operations

What You Bring

• Experience in quality control, inspection, or lab testing (industry or academic)
• Strong attention to detail-you're precise, consistent, and thorough
• Comfort working with measurement tools and performing repetitive tasks
• Ability to follow SOPs and regulated processes
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Reliability with consistent attendance and transportation
• Team-oriented mindset in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Experience

• Associate degree in a science or technical field (nice to have)
• OR relevant hands-on experience in quality, manufacturing, or lab work
• Experience in a cleanroom or controlled environment is a plus
• Familiarity with PPE protocols and handling specialized materials

Work Environment

• 2nd shift: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Paid training on 1st shift (7:00 AM - 3:00 PM) for 2-4 weeks
• Cleanroom setting with strict quality and safety standards
• Work alongside a small, collaborative team (4-5 people)
• Mix of seated inspection work and coordination with production
• PPE required; fragrance-free, phone-free lab environment

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bloomingdale, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
