Job Description:

Quality Control Inspector / Quality Technician (Shift A & Shift B)

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector/Technician to support manufacturing operations by performing inspections, testing, and quality evaluations of in-process and finished products. This role plays a critical part in ensuring all products meet established quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to quality, compliance, and continuous improvement while working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of raw materials, components, in-process products, and finished goods to verify compliance with specifications and quality standards.
  • Evaluate products and manufacturing processes using established testing methods, procedures, and inspection criteria.
  • Review sampling plans, blueprints, specifications, process sheets, and work instructions to determine inspection requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Utilize inspection tools, measuring devices, and testing equipment to assess product quality and document results accurately.
  • Prepare and maintain inspection records, traceability documentation, production logs, and compliance reports.
  • Identify, document, and communicate quality issues, defects, and non-conformances to supervisors and quality leadership.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to production personnel regarding quality requirements, SOPs, and inspection procedures.
  • Work closely with Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to investigate quality concerns and support corrective actions.
  • Monitor manufacturing processes and equipment performance, identifying opportunities to improve product quality and operational efficiency.
  • Report equipment malfunctions and recommend process or equipment improvements when applicable.
  • Ensure proper recording of product traceability information and compliance documentation associated with manufacturing activities.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, safety, productivity, and operational excellence.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and applicable quality standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree or technical certification preferred.
  • Experience in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, or other regulated industries preferred.
  • Familiarity with inspection techniques, quality systems, and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, process sheets, and technical documentation.
  • Experience using measuring and inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and testing devices.
  • Strong documentation and recordkeeping skills with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Knowledge of GMP, ISO 13485, FDA, or other regulated manufacturing standards is highly preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify quality issues and trends.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
