Job Title: Quality Control Location: Corry, PAZip Code: 14052Start Date: Right Away Job Type: Direct HirePay Range: $17.00-$22.00 Keyword: #Corryjobs; #CNCLatheMachinistJobs; Position SummaryJob description:Client is recruiting for a Quality Assurance Inspector in Corry, PA.The inspector performs and audits work activities of processing production workers to verify conformance of activities to quality control standards.Essential Functions:· Performs inspections for the company products to determine conformance with specifications· Utilize standard mechanical and electrical instruments, functional gauges, micrometers, and calipers.· Ability to use CMM· Ability to read/interpret customer prints, drawings, and specifications· Process associated documentation including process tags, rework tags and nonconforming material documents· Work under direct supervision and in accordance with instructions and techniques· Set gages for operators· Assist in preparation of quality sheets and CMM programs· Other duties may be assigned as required.KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or an equivalent degree; basic knowledge in QS and ISO standards is recommended; CMM knowledge and one to three years of blueprint reading preferred. Knowledgeable and skilled in the use of standard mechanical and electrical instruments and functional gauges. Knowledge and understanding of GD&T. Knowledge and understanding of Industry Standards, (SAE ASME, ANSI, AMS, ASTM, FED-STD, MIL) is preferred. Experience in Microsoft programs is required.Desired Coursework· Basic blueprint reading· Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing· Dimensional Metrology· Dimensional Calibration· Computer Aided Drafting & DesignLanguage Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, production schedules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively with employees of organization and customers.Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply commonsense and complex understanding to issue and carry out both detailed and uninvolved written or oral instructions.Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; walk; stand; use hands to finger, handle, or touch; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to use feet/foot to operate machine.The employee must occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
