Job Title: QUALITY TECHNICIAN- V
The key duties for which the employee is accountable are as follows:
Primary responsibilities:
Completion of incoming inspection activities part receipt, visual & mechanical inspection, documentation of non-conforming material, ERP updates, Non-Conforming Material database (Compliant Pro), disposition of non-conforming material
Completes First Article Inspection activities.
Completes Final Product Verification and Audit Release functions.
Secondary responsibilities:
Participate in compliance third party audits, customer audits, process audits, internal audits.
Completes activities to support the internal calibration program such as collecting and returning equipment to its place, organizing, & calibrating devices as well as maintaining the calibration database.
Support engineering with creation of Engineering Sample Inspection Report
Support review of customer return / RMA (TCT, rubber eyes and TCT Mount) and quotation as needed.
Must maintain exceedingly collaborative and effective interaction with Production and Engineering teams in support of the Quality Management System activities.
Interface with Manufacturing, Engineering and supplier personnel to analyze and isolate product quality problems.
Additional duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
The education, experience, skills and training required of the employee for this position are as follows:
AAS degree in a technical discipline with at least 5 years of experience in the manufacturing environment, preferably in Quality Inspection.
Self-starter, able to work under minimal supervision.
Familiar with validation and calibration requirements within the medical device manufacturing environment.
Computer competency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, ERP systems EQMS (Compliant Pro), and Calibration databases.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Ability and demonstrated knowledge in the use of various measurement gages (i.e: CMM, Optical comparator, caliper, micrometer, height gage, Multimeter, Oscilloscope etc.)
Demonstrated writing and communication skills.
Working Conditions:
May require common protective or safety equipment.
Must be able to utilize a microscope for extended periods of time.
Regularly required to sit or stand and move about the facility. May be exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust and odors.
