Job Title: Quality Control Engineer
Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota
Type: 12 month Contract
Compensation: $57.00 - $61.00 per hour
Contractor Work Model: Onsite – onsite

Responsibilities

  • Implement the quality program across generation (power plant) projects to ensure compliance and excellence.
  • Support project execution by verifying proper installation, startup, and commissioning of equipment, reducing rework and warranty issues.
  • Participate in project reviews, inspections, quality plan development, and resolve installation or contractor quality issues.
  • Review project plans and schedules, update QA programs, analyze quality reports, and assist in developing project-specific quality plans.
  • Conduct site visits to power plants, perform inspections, installation walkdowns, and coordinate with contractors.
  • Perform shop visits, track issues and resolutions across multiple projects.

Requirements
  • Engineering degree (Mechanical or Electrical preferred; Civil/Structural acceptable)
  • Quality control/quality assurance experience or certifications
  • Experience in power generation or industrial environments
  • Knowledge of inspection/testing procedures and identifying construction defects
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • 3–7+ years of experience, but open to more experienced candidates
  • Background in power plants, utilities, or industrial environments required
  • Engineering + QA/QC experience required
  • Utility, power generation, or heavy industrial experience preferred
