QUALITY CONTROL ENGINEER

Overview
--------
Maintains and adheres to the project-specific Quality AssuranceQuality Control QAQC Plan. Duties include planning, monitoring, documenting, and reporting compliance with the contract documents in accordance with the project-specific QAQC Plan. Oversee inspection throughout the duration of the project.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

- Maintains and executes the project-specific QAQC Plan with scopes of work and work procedures.
- Develops engineering procedures, including document control, submissions, management, creation, and tracking of Request For Information (RFIs), material samples, documentation, and tracking of potential cost changes, and approved change orders within budgetary guidelines.
- Implements project-specific QAQC Plan in coordination with the project safety plan.
- Ensures strict adherence to ethics and compliance requirements at all times.
- Establishes and maintains working relationships with owners, architects, consultants, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure that the project-specific QAQC Plan delivers a fully compliant project.
- Understands the project execution plan and coordinates Quality Control procedures at appropriate stages of the work and in line with the project schedule.
- Continually improves strategies and tools to efficiently and effectively document, track, and record compliance with the contract documents.
- Executes the project-specific QAQC Plan in a manner that engages all project staff, subcontractors, vendors, and consultants.
- Conducts testing and inspections and arranges for third-party testing and inspections.
- Analyzes and reports the results.
- Expands the development of the Plan as the project progresses, as appropriate, to expand the program by continually improving procedures.
- Oversees the development of Daily Construction Reports (DCRs).
- Oversees the development of punch lists.
- Directly removes and replaces non-compliant materials and/or workmanship.
- Documents compliance after corrective work is completed prior to starting any subsequent work.
- Researches and applies additional Quality Control and Lean procedures to enhance the quality of project delivery.
- Oversees project close-out and quality reports.
Qualifications
--------------
- Minimum of 5 years related, relevant experience, ideally from the General Contractor side of the business.
Physical Requirements
--------------------
- Ability to perform physical activities such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, and handling materials.
- Must be able to work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
- Capable of standing and walking for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
