Job Description

Title: Quality Control/Food Safety

Shift: 1st (8am-4:30pm)

Pay: $23/hr

Location: Liberty, MO

 

Summary:

 

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to help ensure our quality processes are second to none. This person will help with auditing (internal and external), document control, and ensuring compliance and training.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all incoming shipments are inspected and meet quality standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections of inventory to ensure quality is maintained.
  • Investigate and resolve any quality-related issues that arise.
  • Collaborate with other teams to develop and implement quality control procedures.
  • Keep accurate records of quality control activities and report findings to management.
  • Train and educate warehouse staff on quality control procedures and standards.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in quality control techniques.
  • Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
  • Lead the internal audit process in the warehouse.
  • Help improve allergen training and processes.
  • Weekly and Monthly Inspections of Temperature Probes and complete calibrations
  • Be point person along with management on customer/regulatory/external auditing process.
  • Be Point Person for Document Control Changes.
  • Audit the processes and ensure procedures being followed.
  • HAACP and PCQI certifications.

 

Experience:

  • High school graduate required, college preferred
  • Requires past experience in food safety training and quality control to understand and develop standard practice or oral instructions, use simple arithmetic, keep simple records, or use simple office programs.
  • Requires the ability to understand and conduct assigned duties effectively. Knowledge needed for specialized business processes such as FDA and USDA regulatory requirements, food safety protocols, and auditing procedures.
  • Competent knowledge and understanding of fundamental principles of one or more professional, technical, or specialized body of knowledge around food safety.
  • Must be competent in Microsoft Office including excel.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices within a warehouse
  • Ability to help create and work in a team environment.
