Quality Control Technician – Oil & Gas Manufacturing

Location: Fort Worth, TX

Pay: Starting at $24/hr+ based on applicable quality inspection experience

Schedule: Monday – Friday | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM


Position Overview

The Quality Control Technician is responsible for inspecting incoming materials, first articles, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with customer, engineering, and company quality standards. This role will utilize a variety of precision measuring instruments and inspection techniques within a manufacturing environment.


Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections on prototype and production components, subassemblies, and finished goods
  • Use and read analog and digital inspection tools including:
    • Calipers
    • Micrometers
    • Bore gauges
    • Indicators
    • Additional precision measuring equipment as needed
  • Validate dimensions, features, and product characteristics to ensure quality compliance
  • Inspect products against engineering drawings, order specifications, and company standards
  • Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
  • Complete dimensional inspections using surface plate layout techniques
  • Record inspection results and generate inspection reports
  • Mark and stamp approved products
  • Prepare rejection and nonconformance reports as necessary
  • Review inspection reports, certificates of compliance, and material test reports
  • Perform inspection tasks independently with minimal supervision

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 2–4 years of related quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Experience using precision measuring tools and inspection equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Knowledge of GD&T preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work well with a team
  • Favorable and verifiable work history required
  • Criminal background check and drug screen required
  • Updated resume required
