Quality Control Glassware/Floor cleaning Technician

Contract Role, 1 year with possible extension

Job Summary:
Lab Floor Cleaner & Glassware Washer
Responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and organization of laboratory floors 
and glassware to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.


Key Responsibilities:
• Clean and sanitize laboratory floors, including sweeping, mopping, and 
disinfecting as per SOP requirements 
• Wash, rinse, and dry laboratory glassware (e.g., beakers, flasks, pipettes) using 
appropriate cleaning agents and procedures 
• Ensure all glassware is free from residue, contamination, and suitable for 
analytical use 
• Operate and maintain glassware washing equipment (manual or automated 
washers) 
• Segregate clean and used glassware properly and store in designated areas 
• Dispose of waste materials in accordance with safety and environmental 
guidelines 
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify supervisor for replenishment 
• Follow all laboratory safety protocols, including PPE usage and chemical 
handling procedures 
• Support audit readiness by ensuring cleanliness standards are consistently met 
• Report any equipment malfunctions, breakages, or safety concerns promptly 
• Removal or emptying of trash cans regularly
• Use the caution signs while cleaning/mopping the floors for safety concerns (for 
wet floors)
• Performing the activities without distraction (should not use the mobile in the lab)


Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift and carry 60 lbs. or more regularly
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours per shift)
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as bending, lifting, and reaching
• Must be able to wear required PPE for extended periods.


Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred 
• Prior experience in laboratory, cleaning, or housekeeping roles is a plus 
• Basic understanding of hygiene and safety practices 


Skills & Competencies:
• Attention to detail and cleanliness standards 
• Ability to follow SOPs and instructions accurately 
• Time management and organizational skills 
• Basic knowledge of chemical safety (preferred) 
• Ability to work in a fast-paced laboratory environment 
Work Environment:
• Laboratory setting with exposure to chemicals and glassware 
• Requires standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods 
• Must adhere to PPE and safety regulations at all times 
• Requires adherence to strict safety and cleanliness standards
