  • Pay Rate: $28.16 / Hour (USD)
  • Shift / Schedule: 1st Shift

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced, high-caliber Inspector. The Inspector performs basic routine inspection of electronic, electro-mechanical, and/or mechanical materials, components, and sub-assemblies received, in process of manufacture, or manufactured, for conformance with quality assurance standards.

Performs inspection and testing of purchased materials, components, and products in accordance with policy and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspection and testing according to documented policies and procedures.
  • Record inspection and test data as prescribed by written instructions and procedures.
  • Operate all associated test and measurement equipment as instructed and as documented in procedures.
  • Recommend changes to policies and procedures.
  • May prepare and submit change requests.
  • Document non-conformances in Non-Conforming Material Review system.
  • Participate in GR&R studies as directed by engineers or technicians.
  • Collect data for First Article inspections.
  • Perform testing and inspection in accordance with special test requests.
  • May train other Inspectors.
  • Assist in gathering, analyzing, and trending of data.

Other Duties:

  • Perform work of a miscellaneous nature as required. Support all Divisional initiatives as identified by divisional management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.

Required Skills

  • Ability to read and comprehend drawings and basic GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
  • Experience with inspection sampling techniques (AQL Sampling)
  • Ability to perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspection using basic hand tools or automated inspection equipment
  • Experience operating a CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine)
  • Basic computer skills

Education Requirements

  • High school diploma required

Required Experience

  • 1 2 years of experience desired
