About Us
A leading precision CNC machining company serving automotive / medical / industrial customers with tight‑tolerance parts and assemblies. We run modern CNC milling and turning centers and pride ourselves on on-time delivery, consistent quality, and long-term partnerships with our customers.
We are growing and looking to add a Quality Control Inspector who is serious about accuracy, documentation, and helping keep bad parts from ever reaching the customer.
About the Role
The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for inspecting CNC‑machined parts, verifying that they meet all drawing and customer requirements, and supporting the production team with in‑process and final inspection. This role is hands‑on at the inspection bench and on the shop floor.
You will:
- Perform first‑article, in‑process, and final inspection of CNC‑machined parts
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and work instructions
- Use precision measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, height gages, bore gages, pins, indicators, etc.)
- Record inspection results, maintain inspection reports, and support quality documentation
- Identify nonconforming product and assist in root‑cause and corrective actions
- Work directly with machinists and supervisors to prevent defects, not just detect them
- Help maintain and calibrate inspection tools and gauges
- Support audits and customer requirements as needed (e.g., ISO/AS procedures if applicable)
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in quality inspection within a CNC machining or metal manufacturing environment
- Strong ability to read blueprints and understand basic GD&T
- Proficiency with hand‑held precision measuring tools and common inspection equipment
- Comfort working in a fast‑paced production environment with tight deadlines
- Solid documentation skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, problem‑solving mindset
Nice to Have (Plus, Not Required)
- Experience with CMM (programming or operation)
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 / AS9100 quality systems
- Background in CNC machining or manufacturing processes
- Experience creating or updating inspection plans or control plans
Why Join US
- Competitive pay and overtime opportunities
- Health, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO
- Stable, growing company with modern CNC equipment
- Clean, organized shop and a team that actually cares about quality
- Opportunity to grow into roles such as Lead Inspector, Quality Technician, or Quality Engineer as the company expands
