Dixon Quick Coupling, a division of The Dixon Group, is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to join our team in Dallas, NC! In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring our manufactured products meet rigorous quality standards while supporting our ISO 9001 compliance efforts.

What You'll Do:

  • Perform incoming inspections of externally sourced metal components using precision tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, optical comparators)
  • Verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and applicable standards
  • Identify, document, and properly quarantine nonconforming materials
  • Train under a Quality Assurance Specialist in metrology practices
  • Help ensure calibration compliance aligned with ISO 9001 requirements
  • Progress toward owning the metrology function
  • Operate testing equipment (including CNG Series Test and HKAUTO systems) after training
  • Maintain accurate test documentation and records
  • Investigate defects and identify root causes using tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone, 8D, and FMEA
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions
  • Contribute to Lean, Six Sigma, and other improvement initiatives
  • Maintain accurate quality records in compliance with ISO 9001
  • Prepare reports, including non-conformance and corrective action summaries
  • Present updates to the Operations Team
  • Work closely with production, engineering, supply chain, and suppliers to ensure quality standards are met
  • Provide guidance and training to team members on inspection methods and quality practices

What We're Looking for:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing, machining, or quality inspection
  • Hands-on experience using precision measurement tools and inspection equipment
  • Strong knowledge of machining processes and metal components
  • Solid math skills, including geometry and basic statistics
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets and standard office software
  • Experience with optical comparators and advanced inspection tools
  • Familiarity with ERP systems
  • Understanding of ISO 9001 standards and quality systems
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
  • Problem-solving mindset with a root cause approach
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work hands-on in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
