Job Summary
The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for performing basic visual and dimensional inspections of mechanical and assembly parts to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards. This role includes incoming, in?process, and final inspections,accurate documentation of inspection results, and collaboration with quality and production teams. The inspector will also support machine shop quality operations and verify purchase orders using SAP.
Key Responsibilities
Perform basic visual, dimensional, and functional inspections using standard inspection devices
Conduct incoming inspection of parts, including PO verification using the SAP system
Perform in?process and final inspections on mechanical and assembly parts
Record inspection data accurately on inspection forms and quality documentation
Support quality assurance functions for the machine shop
Read and interpret product drawings, blueprints, and specifications
Identify non?conformances and communicate findings to quality and production personnel
Utilize Microsoft Office tools to track, record, and report inspection results
Assist with quality improvement initiatives as needed
Minimum Qualifications
1–2 years of experience in Incoming Quality Control (IQC) or a similar QA/QC role
Experience performing inspections on mechanical and assembled parts
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications
Basic understanding of GD&T
Intermediate math skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook)
Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
Ability to work cross?functionally with quality and production teams
Education & Technical Skills
Proficient in the use of basic mechanical inspection tools, including:
Calipers
Micrometers
Torque screwdrivers
Experience using electrical test devices such as:
Digital Multimeters
Ohmmeters
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications
Basic CMM operation experience is preferred
Physical Demands
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Pay Details: $26.00 to $25.00 per hour
