Title: Quality Inspector
Location: Elk Grove Village, IL
Hire Type: Direct Hire
Salary: $18-$21/hr.
Shift: 2nd Shift (1:30pm to 10:00pm)

This QC Inspector Technician role is responsible for ensuring raw materials, components, and finished products meet quality standards and specifications. This position plays a key role in supporting the Quality Management System (QMS) through inspection, documentation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Job Duties:
- Perform inspections on raw materials, components, sub-assemblies, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and indicators.
- Operate and maintain CMM equipment, including programming and reporting using MCOSMOS and/or CALYPSO.
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T to evaluate product conformance.
- Conduct first article inspections, in-process audits, and non-conformance reporting.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards such as ISO 9001 and AS9100.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation in accordance with QMS requirements.
- Develop and maintain programs for vision systems and CMM equipment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certifications preferred.
- ASQ certification (CQI, CQT, or equivalent) preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in quality or manufacturing, including leadership or senior-level inspection experience.
- Strong experience using precision measuring instruments and inspection tools.
- Hands-on experience with CMMs and related software (MCOSMOS and/or CALYPSO).
- Advanced ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Knowledge of quality systems such as ISO 9001 and AS9100.
- Familiarity with AS9102 and Net-Inspect is a plus.
