Description

As a Quality Control Inspector II, you will inspect, audit, and evaluate incoming materials and manufacturing processes using a variety of visual inspection techniques and precision measuring equipment. You will work cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to ensure materials and components meet both customer expectations and internal quality standards. Responsibilities

  • Conductinspectionsofincomingsuppliermaterialsandapproveorrejectmaterialsaccordingtodocumentedqualityprocessesandspecifications.
  • Verifyandpartnumberlabelstoapprovedmaterialsinaccordancewithinventorypartlabelingspecifications.
  • Utilizeinspectiontoolsandequipment,includingcalipers,Micro-Hitesystems,comparators,andotherprecisionmeasuringinstruments.
  • Interpretengineeringdrawings,specifications,purchaseorders,statementsofwork,andindustrystandardstodeterminequalityacceptancecriteriaandproductconformity.
  • Performinspectionsofmachinedpartsbasedondrawingrequirementsusingprecisionmeasurementtools.
  • FollowapplicableSafetyDataSheets(SDS)andsafetyproceduresrelatedtohandlingmaterialsandchemicals.
  • Supportacultureofcontinuousimprovementandoperationalexcellencebyidentifyingopportunitiestoenhancequalityprocessesandsystems.
  • workingknowledgeofGeometricDimensioningandTolerancing(GD&T)techniques.
  • Performinspectionsusingestablishedsamplingplansandinspectionmethodologies.
  • Communicatenon-conformingmaterialfindingsclearlyandpromptlytomanagementandrelevantstakeholders,demonstratingintegrityandaccountabilityinqualitydecision-making.
  • Accuratelydocumentinspectionactivities,results,andassociatedrecordsusingMicrosoftOfficetoolsandqualitydocumentationsystems.
  • Partnerwithinternalteamstoidentify,communicate,andsupportqualityimprovementopportunitiesthatenhancebothinternaloperationsandcustomersatisfaction.
  • SupportFirstArticleInspection(FAI)activities.
  • Supportinvestigationsanddocumentationrelatedtocorrectiveactions,deviations,andcustomercomplaints.
  • Maintainaclean,organized,andsafeworkenvironment.
  • Complywithcompanysafetyrequirements,policies,andqualitystandards.
  • Performotherdutiesasassigned.

Qualifications

  • HighSchooldiploma,two-yeartechnicaldegree,orequivalenteducationfromanaccreditedtechnicalinstitutionrequired.Relevantmachineshop,inspection,quality,orrelatedindustryexperiencewillalsobeconsidered.
  • Bachelor'sdegreeinascience-relateddisciplineorequivalentindustryexperiencepreferred.
  • Minimumof2yearsofexperienceinQualityAssurancewithinanISO13485,ISO9001,orsimilarregulatedQualityManagementSystemenvironment.
  • Experiencewithinspectionpracticesandstandardswithinmedicaldevice,bioprocessingequipment,aerospace,military,orotherhighlyregulatedmanufacturingindustriespreferred.
  • DemonstratedproficiencywithMicrosoftOfficeapplications,includingOutlook,Excel,andWord.
  • Strongabilitytocommunicateandcollaborateeffectivelyacrossdepartmentsandfunctionalteams.
  • Abilitytoinformationproactivelyandprovidetimelyupdatesonqualityissuesandinspectionactivities.
  • Experiencecontributingtoprojectteamsandcross-functionalinitiatives.
  • Exceptionalattentiontodetailandcommitmenttoproducingaccurate,high-qualitywork.
  • UnderstandingofGoodDocumentationPractices(GDP)preferred.
  • Demonstratedabilitytotakeownershipofresponsibilities,exercisesoundjudgment,andmaintainhighethicalstandardswhenmakingquality-relateddecisions.

The estimated base salary range for this role, based in the United States of America is $28-$35/hr. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to an individual's qualifications, location, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, employees are eligible to participate in one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package. We offer a wide range of benefits such as paid time off, health/dental/vision, retirement benefits and flexible spending accounts. All compensation and benefits information will be confirmed in writing at the time of offer.
