Job Summary

The Quality Control Inspector (Inline) is responsible for ensuring product quality through inspection of raw materials and in-process items. This role requires strong attention to detail, disciplined documentation practices, and the ability to quickly identify and escalate quality issues. The position also supports document control processes and contributes to maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient manufacturing environment.

Job Description

• Perform inspections on raw materials and in-process products using IQA tools and equipment to verify quality standards
• Accurately record inspection results in digital systems, ensuring high levels of data integrity and traceability
• Identify, segregate, and return non-conforming materials to appropriate personnel in a timely manner
• Monitor product quality issues and promptly escalate concerns to the Quality Team Leader
• Support document control activities, including reviewing, correcting, and maintaining properly formatted records
• Assist users with document control systems, ensuring adherence to strict formatting and compliance standards
• Maintain and update quality records while managing high volumes of data with accuracy
• Follow and actively support 5S practices (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) to ensure a clean and organized workspace
• Adhere to safety protocols when moving between office and production environments
• Perform additional quality-related tasks as assigned by the Quality Team Leader

Skills Required

• Experience performing inspections on raw materials or in-process products using quality tools (IQA or similar)
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to detect defects and inconsistencies
• Proven ability to handle non-conforming materials and follow proper escalation procedures
• Comfortable with computer systems, data entry, and maintaining accurate digital quality records
• Familiarity with document control systems and the importance of formatting and compliance
• Basic English reading and writing skills
• Knowledge of electronic and/or mechanical components and material characteristics
• Understanding of basic manufacturing processes and quality standards
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain accuracy under high-volume workloads
• Demonstrated ability to learn new inspection processes or systems quickly and effectively
• Quality-focused mindset with a strong sense of accountability
• Ability to make decisions on when to resolve issues independently vs. escalate
• Strong communication skills, particularly when reporting quality concerns
• Commitment to maintaining strict attendance and reliability in a production-driven environment
• Awareness of workplace safety and ability to identify potential hazards
• High level of precision and hand-eye coordination for detailed inspection tasks
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks including keyboarding and inspection work
• Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of both light and heavy objects (over and under 10 lbs)
• Ability to crouch, climb, and move safely within a manufacturing environment
• Sustained visual concentration on small components, screens, and numerical data for extended periods
• Strong hand-eye coordination for precise inspection and data entry tasks

Education

• Highschool diploma or GED

Pay Rate

• $24.36 per hour (Compensation is offered based on experience, skills, and market factors)
