Quality Control Inspector (Level II)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Approves incoming material by conduction visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
  • Approves in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production supervisor / primary lead.
  • Approves finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirm rework.
  • Documents inspection results by completing reports/logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality databases.
  • Analyze information, report research results, documentation skills (Word / Excel), process improvement.
  • Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products and recommend necessary corrective actions.
  • Use automated systems to perform complex testing
  • Follow all safety guidelines as stated by the company
  • Read and understand blueprints and basic geometric dimension tolerancing (company will train)
  • Ability to perform and complete all PPAP certifications, control plans, PFMEA, and other documents required by customers.
  • Train level I quality control inspectors and other new hires for different departments.
  • Perform and complete Gage R &R studies, capability studies, calibration and log into QC databases.
  • Program & run CMM equipment
  • Know how to operate and create spreadsheets using MS office software’s
  • SPC interaction or knowledge; CPK, PPK, P Value, AD Testing

Job Requirements:
  • Cooperative, team-focused attitude
  • Ability to lift 15 pounds regularly
  • Ability to stand/walk throughout entire shift
  • Ability to read blueprints and inspect parts through use of visual and manual inspection equipment (caliper, micrometer etc.), as well as programmed CMM equipment (company will train)
  • 2+ years’ experience in quality control or quality assurance position
  • Analytical, logical thought process and attention to detail.
  • Ability to translate skills and knowledge to others.
