Quality Control Inspector (Nights)

Our client is a very large employer in Shelton, CT. They have over 300 employees and are a major plastics manufacturer. They produce most of the plastic containers you would find in your local grocery store. The company has a 24/7 operation with a lot of stability and growth opportunity. Many of their employees are highly tenured. They are currently seeking Quality Control Inspectors.

Responsibilities:

• Inspects finished or in-process products against standards using simple measuring tools and equipment for acceptance or rejection.
• Assures compliance with regards to line clearance, raw materials, in-process inspection, manufacturing, and housekeeping.
• Assists in the training and guidance of less experienced inspectors and production personnel with respect to QC methods and procedures.
• Checks reports, forms, records and comparable data to ensure compliance to procedures and requirements.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to read micrometers and calipers, digital force gauge.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office.
• Ability to use scales and magna mic.
• High school diploma.
• Experience in a quality inspection position.

Pay Rate:
$19.25 per hour.

Schedule:
Night Shift: 6:50 PM - 7:05 AM
***This position works 12 hour shifts whose days change every other week. The benefit is you have 3 and 4 days off every other week!
Example shift:
Week 1 - Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat
Week 2 - Sun, Wed, Thurs
