Description
Job Order: Quality Control Inspector
Position Summary
The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all products meet established functional and quality standards. This role performs inspections, verifies compliance with specifications, documents results, and supports corrective action processes to maintain consistent product quality.
Education Requirements
High school diploma or GED required
Associate degree or technical certification in Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred
Experience Requirements
Minimum 1 year of experience in quality control, manufacturing, calibration, or inspection
Experience working within ISO 9001 and/or ISO/IEC 17025 quality management systems preferred
Ability to read engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
Technical Knowledge
Understanding of quality control principles and inspection techniques
Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
Knowledge of root cause analysis tools (5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, etc.)
Understanding of non‑conformance reporting and corrective action processes
Primary Responsibilities
Perform incoming, in‑process, and final inspections of products
Verify product compliance with customer specifications, engineering drawings, and applicable standards
Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records
Identify, document, and report non‑conforming products
Assist with root cause investigations and corrective actions
Collaborate with production, engineering, and management to resolve quality issues
Correctly apply concepts such as accuracy, resolution, and precision
