Quality Control Inspector
Location: 203A Log Canoe Circle, Stevensville, MD 21666-2128
Work Hours: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday
Salary Range: $22 - $30/hr
Hydrasearch is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to join our team in Stevensville, MD. In this role, you will support manufacturing operations by verifying that all incoming materials, in-process work, and finished products strictly meet defined engineering and quality requirements.
Operating within our AS9100-certified precision manufacturing environment, you will perform critical dimensional and visual inspections using standard measurement equipment. You will be responsible for reviewing supplier documentation to ensure total conformance to purchase requirements and will play a key role in communicating technical findings to both production and quality personnel to ensure operational excellence.

What Youll Do: Inspection: Verify incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products against engineering drawings, specifications, and purchase orders.
Metrology: Perform dimensional and visual inspections using standard mechanical measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
Documentation: Review supplier certificates of conformance (CoC), material certifications, and test reports for compliance.
Traceability: Verify traceability between product identification, supplier certifications, and applicable documentation.
Quality Control: Identify and document nonconforming material; coordinate with Quality and Production teams on proper disposition.
Reporting: Maintain accurate inspection records and status identification.
Collaboration: Communicate findings and required adjustments to production personnel and maintain an organized, safe inspection area.
What Were Looking For:
Required Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience: 0-3 years of experience in a manufacturing, quality control, or technical environment (or equivalent vocational training).
Technical Literacy: Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings, blueprints, or technical specifications.
Measurement Skills: Basic familiarity with mechanical measurement tools, such as calipers or micrometers.
Preferred Qualifications Education: Technical trade school certificate or an Associate degree in Manufacturing Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Industry Knowledge: Previous experience working within an AS9100 or ISO 9001 certified quality management system.
Specialized Tools: Experience using height gages, thread gages, or CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) equipment.
Software: Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems or specialized Quality Management Software (QMS).
Problem Solving: Demonstrated experience in identifying non-conformances and participating in root-cause analysis.
