Quality Control Line Inspector

We are looking for a skilled Quality Control Line Inspector to join our team in Huntington Beach, CA. This is an on-site position based in Huntington Beach, CA. JOB SUMMARY

To interpret engineering data such as drawings and specifications and inspect in accordance with the data. Must be able to use standard measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gages, dial indicators etc. Perform visual and dimensional inspections for final and first article inspections on aviation parts from details to top assemblies. Must be able to understand visual and cosmetic standards. Must have the ability to clearly write nonconformance reports and assist in corrective actions investigations.

SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES - Essential Functions(Other duties and projects may be assigned or requested.)

• Interpret engineering data such as drawings and specifications
• Competent in using measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gages, indicators
• Perform visual and dimensional inspection
• Perform in-process, final, and first article inspections, including writing FAI documentation (bubble drawings, Forms1, 2 and 3)
• Perform inspections to visual and cosmetic standards
• Able to write inspection reports and nonconformance reports
• Able to understand root cause and participate in corrective actions
• Perform review of supplier certifications for conformance to requirements
• Data collection for statistical analysis
• Must understand and be able to interpret tolerances
• Understand application and use of all types of precision measuring instruments used in mechanical inspection, including interpretations of geometrical and positional tolerance requirements
• Travel as required to support suppliers or source/auditing inspection program

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS – Education, Knowledge, and Experience

Education:

• A High School Diploma is required.
• A two-year college (Associate Degree), Trade/Technical School or certification is desired.

Experience:

• Position may be filled with both entry level and experienced candidates.

Skills:

• Microsoft office applications
• Basic math

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications

Other:

• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

• Direction with necessary guidance is provided in terms of tasks and craftsmanship and measured based upon how well tasks have been completed. Receives detailed instructions as needed.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Elevate Aircraft Seating offers competitive wages and benefits to recognize employees for their work. The base pay offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, location, experience and take into account internal equity.

Hourly Rate Transparency: $25 - $27 per hour
