Job Title: Quality Control Manager – Federal Construction Projects

Overview:
Are you an experienced Quality Control professional looking to take your career to the next level? We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Control Manager to join our team and oversee federal construction projects in the Buffalo, NY area. This is a key leadership position responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance across all phases of construction.
In this role, you will play a pivotal part in maintaining project integrity by implementing and managing quality control systems that align with federal guidelines and client expectations. You’ll work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and government representatives to ensure all work is performed to the required specifications—on time and within scope.
What You’ll Do:
Lead and manage the Quality Control Program for federal construction projects, ensuring strict adherence to USACE, NAVFAC, or other applicable federal standards.
Develop and implement project-specific Quality Control Plans (QCPs) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
Conduct daily inspections and audits to monitor construction activities and ensure compliance with contract documents.
Identify and document deficiencies, and lead efforts for timely resolution.
Coordinate and chair preparatory meetings, initial inspections, and follow-up inspections with relevant stakeholders.
Maintain accurate and comprehensive QC records, reports, and logs.
Act as the point of contact for all quality-related matters with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Promote a strong quality-focused culture across all project teams.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction quality control, preferably on federal projects.
Strong knowledge of federal construction standards and requirements (USACE, NAVFAC, etc.).
Current USACE Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors certification preferred.
Excellent communication, documentation, and leadership skills.
Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and contracts.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and QC management software.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related field preferred.
