Job Function

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

• Lead the QC team and manage daily priorities to ensure efficient workflow
• Direct, supervise, and support all inspection and testing activities
• Review and interpret product specifications to perform accurate and compliant quality checks
• Conduct inspections using precision measuring instruments and advanced inspection systems
• Perform destructive testing, including OES chemistry analysis, tensile testing, and hardness testing
• Oversee calibration and management of Inspection, Measuring, and Test Equipment (IMTE)
• Document Nonconforming Material Reports (NCR) for any nonconforming product
• Assist the QA Manager with NCR, Corrective Action and containment activity
• Collaborate closely with production teams to maintain quality and ensure compliance
• Record test data, maintain inspection logs, and generate detailed quality reports
• Drive continuous improvement activities focused on eliminating waste, improving productivity, and enhancing process performance.

Required Skills

Qualifications:

This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and adherence to quality standards are paramount. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that products meet quality standards through various inspection methods.

• Proven ability to lead, train, and mentor QC technicians
• Strong communication skills and ability to prioritize tasks and manage workflow
• Strong knowledge of inspection methods, quality standards, and manufacturing processes
• Proficiency with precision measuring tools and advanced inspection systems
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and product specifications including GD&T
• Experience performing destructive and non‑destructive testing is a plus
• Experience in performing mechanical inspections required.
• Quality inspection: 3 years (Required).

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: 8-hour shift (M-F)

Work Location: In person with ability to commute to Cleveland, OH 44130
