We are seeking a Quality Control Manager to lead plant quality compliance, enforce building codes, and manage state certification systems.
Position Summary Operating with complete executive organizational independence from production pressures, the QA/QC Manager reports directly to the CEO to guarantee compliance with model building codes and regulations. This individual holds stop-work authority, manages in-plant testing, and serves as sole custodian of state certification insignias.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Oversight & Stop-Work Authority: Direct executive reporting line with formal authority to issue hold tags, halt assembly operations, and reject non-conforming materials or sub-assemblies.
State Insignia Custody: Sole plant custodian responsible for securing, logging, tracking, and applying state certification insignias and data plates.
Mandatory Code Testing & Verification: Execute, witness, log, and sign off on required in-plant testing for plumbing, electrical, and building envelope.
Compliance Systems & Records: Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and Corrective Action Requests (CAR); maintain auditable 5-year QA/QC archives.
Workforce Qualifications: Maintain the plant Master Training Matrix to ensure technicians performing regulated work hold required trade competencies.
Third-Party Liaison: Serve as primary liaison for state inspectors and Third-Party Inspection Agencies.
