Local Quality Manager - Food Manufacturing

My client, an SQF-certified food procesisng company, is seeking a Quality Control Manager to lead the QC/QA department and drive quality improvement initiatives. This role ensures product safety, USDA compliance, and ongoing SQF certification. Candidates must have at several years of QC Manager experience in a USDA-regulated facility.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the Quality Control team.
  • Develop and implement strategies to strengthen QC/QA operations.
  • Oversee annual SQF audits and ensure continuous compliance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field.
  • 2+ years as a Quality Control Manager in USDA-regulated food manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of USDA regulations and SQF standards.
  • Proven leadership and department-building skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Skilled in audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
