Local Quality Manager – Food Manufacturing
My client, an SQF‑certified food procesisng company, is seeking a Quality Control Manager to lead the QC/QA department and drive quality improvement initiatives. This role ensures product safety, USDA compliance, and ongoing SQF certification. Candidates must have at several years of QC Manager experience in a USDA‑regulated facility.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage the Quality Control team.
- Develop and implement strategies to strengthen QC/QA operations.
- Oversee annual SQF audits and ensure continuous compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field.
- 2+ years as a Quality Control Manager in USDA‑regulated food manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of USDA regulations and SQF standards.
- Proven leadership and department‑building skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Skilled in audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
