We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to oversee quality systems, lead quality personnel, and ensure products consistently meet customer specifications and company standards. This role combines quality leadership, process improvement, and hands-on support within a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
Lead, train, and supervise Quality Control Technicians while promoting a strong quality culture
Manage quality inspections for extruded sheet products, including appearance, thickness, dimensions, functionality, and color standards
Inspect and approve incoming materials and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications
Develop, implement, and improve quality procedures, testing methods, and process controls
Conduct internal/external audits, maintain quality documentation, and support ISO/QMS requirements
Investigate non-conformances, customer complaints, and returned materials;implement corrective actions
Maintain calibration of inspection equipment including calipers, micrometers, color meters, gloss meters, and other measuring tools
Prepare quality documentation including COAs, COCs, SDS records, and regulatory compliance paperwork
Support new product launches by developing quality procedures and inspection requirements
Partner with production and management teams to troubleshoot quality issues and improve processes
Perform color testing and maintain quality standards (CIE Lab knowledge a plus)
Qualifications:
Quality Control, Quality Assurance, or Quality Management experience in a manufacturing environment
Previous leadership or supervisory experience
Strong understanding of inspection processes, quality systems, and corrective actions
Ability to read and use measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, rulers, and gauges
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and mathematical aptitude
Ability to communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, and management
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
High school diploma/GED required
Plastics extrusion or sheet manufacturing experience preferred
Work Environment:
This position is approximately 65% office-based and 35% on the manufacturing floor. The role requires working around production equipment, varying temperatures, noise levels, and manufacturing materials.
